Bored monkeys are especially popular with celebrities. Musicians like Eminem or Snoop Dog, for example, use their NFTs as profile pictures on their Twitter accounts.
Talk show host Jimmy Fallon and Paris Hilton discussed their monkeys on American television. Yuga Labs is also working on a Bored Ape Figure Collection. Also, there was recently a pop-up burger shop called Bored & Hungry in California that allowed customers to pay with the monkey’s own cryptocurrency, Ape-Coin.

Ape-NFT owners have the option of sending their monkeys to the movie casting for the trilogy. The NFTs are then reviewed by a film casting team at degentrilogy.com.

The Yacht Club monkeys coming out of the NFT universe aren’t the first time. the Universal Music Group bought a bored monkey as a front monkey for the band “Kingship” in March 2022. Maybe they’ll cover some hits from the virtual 90s band “Gorillaz” in the future.
