Popular Japanese social messaging app Line has launched its own NFT marketplace. Users can access NFTs through the Line BITMAX wallet, which can be linked to their official Line accounts for long-term storage of NFTs.
Line launches its own NFT marketplace
Japan’s most popular social messaging app, Line, has officially launched the beta version of its in-app NFT Marketplace.
The Marketplace feature allows Japanese users to experience various NFTs created by popular Japanese anime characters like Gyuunyuu, Usagyuuun! and Betakkuma are inspired and can be purchased directly through the Line NFT app.
40,000 different NFTs will be available to browse and trade on the platform:

For the realization of the project, the NFT platform partners with leading entertainment company Yoshimoto Kogyo to allow users to use NFT products on their platform.
The partnership will allow users to own, trade and use a large number of NFTs, including items from the Mobile Police anime series Patlabor and Betakkuma.

LINE NFT will feature a wide variety of content, including exclusive NFT videos from Yoshimoto Kogyo Holdings Co. Ltd. named Yoshimoto NFT Theater, NFTs from the classic anime series Patlabor the Mobile Police, and NFTs from other popular characters. More NFTs in many different genres will be offered at a later date.
NFTs now integrated into Line
Line is one of the most widely used social messaging apps in Japan, hosting nearly 90 million users on its platform. To further reach the young user base, Line has launched a new initiative to support emerging crypto and blockchain technologies by creating integrated tokens in the Line-based ecosystem:

Line NFT will also allow users to purchase and store NFT through the Line BITMAX wallet, which can be connected to the user’s official Line account.
The Line blog goes on to say that the Line app also supports exchanging NFTs with other Line addresses and sending NFTs.
LINE NEXT, Line’s US project, has announced that it will work with 26 well-known NFT specialists to expand its existing service area.
Additionally, the company recently announced a plan to develop and launch a global NFT distribution facility called DOSI, containing valuable crypto assets provided by reputable partners.
