The Metaverse practice brings together around 100 crypto, blockchain and game developers, 3D artists, virtual and augmented reality experts and software engineers who have developed AR/VR, Web3 innovations and developed metaverse experiences for customers .
The internationally networked Swiss digital agency pioneers technology and marketing in the Metaverse for brands such as Algorand, Eurovision Village 2021 and Vogue Business. In Switzerland, a hub will soon be opened in Crypto Valley Zug, and several local and international Metaverse events are also planned.

Over the past 12 months, Dept has launched a number of market firsts in Web3 innovation:

- November 2021: The department presents the first white label open source solution Algomarket one that is built on the Algorand blockchain and allows businesses to create their own NFT marketplace
- September 2021: In collaboration with Journee, Dept organizes the first Meta Festivalwhere more than 4,000 people visit the Metapolis hybrid world
- May 2021: Tens of thousands of visitors from all over the world meet at the Eurovision Song Contest Rotterdam 2021 in the created by Dept Eurovision Village 2021

Based on the knowledge gained from these projects, Dept has combined the expertise of its more than 2,500 employees into strong teams and assembled a global team of specialists experienced in their Metaverse practice. Dept’s Metaverse practice includes expertise in blockchain technology, decentralized applications, AR, immersive experiences, cryptocurrencies and data, and enormous creative marketing power.
Dept also announced that it will host the world’s first 24-hour event at the Metaverse on June 28, 2022. The largest Meta Festival to date aims to connect all parts of the world. The event will bring together forward-thinking innovators, technologies, brands and people in a virtual venue called Metapolis, and will provide attendees with hundreds of talks, music, workshops and more. In Switzerland, Dept organizes a large Web3 event in advance.
